As a DouIa I offer a variety of support services personalized for each client. Depending on when you hire me, I provide advice on everything from nutrition and exercise to developing a birth plan and picking the right birthing facility.
Prenatal Visits
As soon as we make our agreement I will be committed to your health and the wellbeing of your growing family. I will be available whenever needed throughout your entire pregnancy as well as after giving birth. I will be there to provide you with information, continuous emotional and physical support, and answer any and all questions you may have. I may also help you develop your birth plan.
Birthing Guidance
During your childbirth my main mission is to provide you comfort. I am there to support you and make suggestions about birth options. I can act as an interface between the care team and the couple. I will be there to help you understand complicated medical terms and hospital procedures so you and your partner can make better decisions while you are facing one of the most vulnerable situations of your lives. I will help you finding more comfortable positions during labor and delivery. I can also show you efficient breathing techniques and propose natural measures that will definitely relieve pain such as bathing, massage, relaxation techniques and so on.
I will always encourage your partner to take action during labor, after all, this is your moment! I will try my best to
create an environment in which you feel secure and confident so your baby can be born in peace.
Postpartum Support
After your child is born I will visit your new family to assist you on postpartum period especially regarding breastfeeding and baby care.
From our initial meeting all the way through your pregnancy and delivery, I take the time to get to know you, your concerns and your needs. I’m always available to contact by phone/email throughout and will provide everything you require to make sure your experience is as calm and positive as possible. You can count on me!
